Family Vacay at Gulf Shores

We spent a week on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL for a much needed vacation at the beginning of July.  We had tons of fun with the entire family!  Jen and Mason even joined us for a few days.  I will let the photos tell the story...

Every good vacation must come to an end.  Unfortunately, we had bad weather the entire drive home and the minivan started leaking, rather...it was raining inside the minivan because of the roof bag straps!  Thank goodness we have a resident MacGyver....he duct taped us in and we were good to go.  Yes, he duct taped us in. I am not sure if you can tell from this photo.... 

 

Until our next adventure...the boys ask for the beach every night!

TX Rangers and Twins

We made it to a couple of Rangers games early in the season (June).  The first one was quite memorable as Brock failed to tell me (until we were almost to the game) that he stepped in dog pooh that day.  As soon as we sat down in our seats, the guy next to me asked his buddy why it smelled like manure.  AWESOME!  I spent the first three innings trying not to gag and watching the flies gather near.  We finally put his shoes in a bag and all was well....until we had to leave.  Phew!  I will be doing a shoe check before we leave for future games!
