Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.  Friday my own mama and I had a day for us to enjoy:  a great lunch, pedicures, shopping and ice cream!  Today we celebrated with the men/boys in our lives.  Lunch on the grill at home (thanks hubby!) and some backyard baseball were highlights from the day.  Great times.  I never realized how amazing my own mama is until I became a mom myself.  I mean I have always known she is amazing, but didn't quite realize she was Superwoman to us growing up.  I must be asked on a daily basis, "How do you do it all?"  I guess I do what I have to and what is important to me.  It's the "what's important" that keeps me going!  It helps that I have Superman by my side.
Gigi is sporting her Mother's Day necklaces from Brock!

Everyone played (except for WyWy)

Easter Fun

We had a wonderful Easter weekend visiting with family.  The weather was great and we spent most of the weekend outside.  Our fun included flying a kite, playing catch, coloring eggs, egg hunts, etc.  We could not have had more fun!

The evening of Good Friday we went down the street to take photos with the pretty bluebonnets.  The boys loved playing on the caboose, not so much sitting for the camera...

More photos from the weekend...

Mr. Independent (times two!)

Our boys are growing more and more independent each day (like they are supposed to I guess!).  Wyatt is all about feeding himself these days and does quite well with a fork and spoon until it's something he really, really wants...
I had to document the first time he did well at a restaurant!

A glimpse into dinner time...

Applesauce...

Applesauce...

Everywhere!

Wyatt is a good helper just like his big brother.  This includes sweeping.  Don't you dare take a broom away from him!  Gigi found a broom just his size...

Brock is a champ on his new bike.  Daddy helped him one day and he was ready to fly the next.  He still does takes turns a little fast!

Brock is still a great helper, especially with his younger brother.  Don't get me wrong they do pester each other a fair amount, but only because they love each other!  Here he is being Daddy's special helper (safety goggles and all!).

Look at this handsome guy before school one day.  He loves school and I don't think he understands this is his last week.

Check-Up Update

We went to the dr. on April 9th for check-ups and the stats were as follows:

Wyatt at 18 months:
Height:  33 inches- 72nd percentile
Weight:  27 pounds, 3 ounces- 86th percentile
Head Circumference:  46.25 cm- 20th percentile

He is saying several words (that we can understand) and his favorite words are book, dada, milk and MAMA!  He loves to say MAMA and yell for his brother- BAW!  WyWy loves to dance and clap at the end of songs.  His favorite song is the Itsy Bitsy Spider.  Brock sings it over and over for him and Wyatt claps every time.  He loves for us to read books to him (just like big bro) and is always piling books on top of us and then asking for "up!"  That means help me up in your lap and read; however, only read what I want, when I want it.

Brock also had his four year check-up with those awful four year shots!  His stats were:

Height:  42.5 inches- 89th percentile
Weight:  41 pounds, 5 ounces- 85th percentile
BMI:  16.1 - 66th percentile

Brock is doing really well with his letters and sounding them out.  He is constantly asking us questions and asking for help on sounding things out, how to say things in Spanish, etc.  He loves numbers and learning Spanish.  He has Spanish class each Friday and always picks a word to ask the teacher to translate.  Just the other night he counted to 100 for me (with a little help).  It is amazing what he understands at the age of four.  He can diffuse any situation with a simple, "I love you."  I have been preparing him for our upcoming move and just tonight the conversation went like this...

Mama:  Are you going to be sad to move out of this house?
Brock:  Yes :(
Mama:  Why Sweetie?  Are you not excited for the new house?
Brock:  No, because it is UGLY!
Mama:  Don't worry!  Daddy is going to make it pretty!

Oh, children are so honest.  He is right....it is UGLY!  We buy ugly houses and they just keep getting uglier and uglier.  Thank goodness I married a talented man.

Both boys love to be outside EVERY DAY.  We are always going on walks, throwing the ball, playing with sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, chasing butterflies, pulling weeds, etc.  I hate that it will just be too hot too soon!

Well, Hello Thomas!

We had a great time visiting with Thomas the Tank Engine again this year.  We got there early to beat the crowds and it was worth it!  It was a little chilly this year, but we survived.  Brock was very excited to see Thomas again and ride in one of his coaches.
As we were walking up to the event, Thomas pulled up.  Perfect timing!

Hi Thomas!

So excited! We are up next!

They don't smile for strangers taking our photo!

We were all smiles, but not the kid behind us!
