Easter Fun

This year we went to the Easter festivities at Delaney Vineyards.  The fun included an egg hunt, bounce houses, a petting zoo and of course, photos with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny.  Rylan was not a fan of the Easter bunnies and that made Brock a little anxious.  However, a little bribing got a pretty smile out of Brock for the official photo.  Mrs. Easter Bunny playfully did not want to give Wyatt back after the photo (he is a cutie!) and Brock got really upset and in a direct manner said, "I want my baby brother!"  Well, at least we know he loves him!  :)

We also dyed eggs for Easter.  I had not done this in years!  Good times.

We went to Ma's house that afternoon.  The kiddos found the "hidden" go kart and had too much fun.  Their faces in these photos are priceless.  The go kart was put up after they were getting a little too confident on it.  Great times with cousins!

 

Happy 3rd Birthday Brock!

It is hard to believe that our little guy turned three years old recently.  Time really does fly.  Daddy and I are so proud of you, Brocky Poo!  You are so smart, sweet, funny, and there is no doubt that one day you will be big and strong just like elephants!  Thank you for making me and Daddy laugh every day.  You are forever amazing us with the little guy you are growing into.  We love you!  Brock's party was originally planned for the park, but a threat for bad weather prompted us to move the party to Jump for Fun at the last minute.  The kiddos loved it!

Our friends had also arranged (secretly) to have my parents watch the kiddos while we all went out that night for March birthdays and to celebrate Jen and Vin's engagement.  It was again...the best surprise ever!

 

Four Months and Feeling Better

Well, we are all starting to feel better.  Wyatt finally started smiling again on Wednesday; however, both boys still have a cough.  We managed to get out of the house last Sunday and made a trip to the park.  We found a nearby park with ducks, so the new fun thing is to feed the ducks and random turtles.

In other news, Wyatt had his four month check-up this morning and his stats are:

Height:  25 inches- 36th percentile 

Weight:  17 pounds, 2 ounces- 79th percentile

Head Circumference:  42 cm- 56th percentile

 

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!  My boys surprised me with flowers, a yummy cake and a necklace made by Brock.  I love being spoiled by them. :) 



TGIF!

Thank goodness it's Friday.  It has been a rough week in our home!  Brock was not feeling well last weekend and we tried really hard to keep him away from Wyatt, but apparently not good enough.  Wyatt started to feel bad Tuesday and then Wednesday he was diagnosed with RSV.  I didn't think there was anything they can do for young babies, but he was put on breathing treatments every four hours.  Poor little guy probably cried 24 hours straight and couldn't breathe, so that meant choking and spitting up.  It was not fun for Mommy and Daddy!  And of course, then I got sick and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection.  So far, Buck is just really tired...tired from taking care of all of us!  Let's hope we have a complete recovery soon!  Let's see a couple of things...

Wyatt rolled over last week, but not in front of us!  Ms L was watching him and he rolled from tummy to back.  That is because he absolutely HATES being on his tummy. 

And a conversation between Mommy (oops! I mean..."Mom") and Brock:
Mom:  Brock, what are you going to get Mama for Valentine's Day?  (Note: we don't usually do gifts, so I am not even sure why I asked this question!)
Brock:  Ummm, a bracelet!
Mom:  A bracelet?  That is so nice.
Brock:  But..but..but...I don't know where to go.
Mom:  Oh, don't worry Sweetie, Daddy knows!  :)

The woman he marries is going to be a lucky one!  He already knows to buy jewelry.  I always knew he was a smart kid! 

A little of this and that...

Well, I have been back at work for a couple of weeks now (hence the shortage of posts!). I sure do miss my guys during the day and can't wait to get home to their happy faces. 

Last weekend the weather was beautiful, so we became members at the FW Zoo.

A couple recent Brock-isms...Just the other day he started calling me "Mom" instead of "Mama."  Weird!  Buck is trying to get him to call me "Mother!"  And for some reason, Brock talks about his birthday party every day.  I think this is because a few of his friends at school recently had birthdays.  Well, when Brock is not happy with us he tells us we are not invited to his birthday party....this happens daily!  Ha!  So, who wants to throw the kid a 3rd birthday party?!
