Brock had school pictures taken this Fall and they turned out really cute.
Buck's response to school photos, "We are old! We have a kid getting school photos done!" Ha.
Brock still loves school and surprises us with what more he knows every week. This past weekend he asked us:
Brock: What should we get Jesus for his birthday?
Mama: I don't know. What do you think?
Brock: Maybe some frankincense?
Mama: Maybe so.
Brock: Or maybe my Mickey globe and I can get a Jake snow globe from Santa.
Mama: Yea, or that...

We've got a walker!
Wyatt started walking laps the week of Thanksgiving! He had been taking a couple of steps at a time for a couple of months, but that week he decided it was time to take it to another level. It is exciting and exhausting at the same time! He was so proud of himself and would clap after he took several steps (I guess because we did!). His favorite word right now is MAMA, while his most favorite hobbies are picking on his older brother and sticking out his tongue.
YAY Wyatt! There is no slowing you down now!

The only way to survive a few days...
away from the hubby and kiddos during a work conference in Phoenix. Facetime. Of course Brock was the Fantastic Frog at school that same week and Daddy did a great job getting all of that done!
Celebrating Jen and Vin in NOLA
(I wrote this on the way home from NOLA 11/16...this blog is always a work in progress!) We are on the road home from a wonderful time in the Big Easy celebrating the marriage of Jen and Vin. A beautiful bride, a handsome groom, interactive wedding ceremony and a great party afterwards. Jen has been one of my best friends for several years and I was so happy to be a part of her special day. She and Vin also asked Brock to be a ring bearer. He looked so handsome in his tux and did a great job walking the long church aisle with a smile.
We got on the road very early Thursday morning and made it to NOLA just in time to get checked in to the hotel and over to the rehearsal. The boys did quite well in the car considering the length of the trip. We were very pleased! Thursday evening we attended the rehearsal and then some of us went out to have a good time and that we did!
Friday I was busy with the bride-to-be, so my parents, John and Carolyn took Brock out to see the French Quarter. (Buck had WyWy)
The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a blast. I will let the photos paint the picture.

The Halloween That Wasn't
Well, we skipped right over Halloween this year and not by our own choice! Brock woke up with a stomach bug the night before Halloween and was down for the count until about 9:30pm on Halloween. The poor guy missed his Fall Festival at school and trick-or-treating with some good friends. I think I was more bummed than he was!!!! Oh well. Brock picked out Wyatt's costume this year and we had Wyatt try it on a few days beforehand...our little dragon. It was so amusing to watch him toddle around in it!!!
We have some trick-or-treating to make up for next year!!!
Brock put his costume on in anticipation of going to school, but never made it that far.... He was going to be Jake from the Jake and the Never Land Pirates cartoon. We have some trick-or-treating to make up for next year!!!

Fair, Fall and...
MAMA!!! Wait, those don't rhyme! You're right, but I am excited that Wyatt started saying "Mama" this week. It was a rough week for the little guy (and Mommy and Daddy!). He had a reaction to his one year shots with an added bonus of the stomach bug. Fever and projectile vomit were the theme of our week, but once Wyatt started feeling a little better on Wednesday evening he happily repeated "Mama" over and over.
Last weekend we visited the State Fair of Texas and did a little pumpkin carving. Brock was amazed at the fair with all of the booths, games and rides. When lunchtime rolled around, he insisted on having a turkey leg and put a pretty good dent in it. We were shocked.
Next was pumpkin carving...
Random fun at La Hacienda Ranch. Brock loves to ride the ponies there and this time baby brother joined in the fun.
