It was a quick summer...

or so it seemed because we were so busy.  After our fun Lake and Houston trip, we said goodbye to our home and hello to a new project.  I admit I shed a tear (or two) as we said goodbye because that home helped create a lot of good memories; however, I am excited for our next adventure!  Here are a few photos from our last day there.  Look who jumped in the car with big brother and liked it!  A few photos from when we purchased the house can be seen here...at some point I will figure out how to do before and after comparisons side by side.

Next, we were on the road again to help celebrate little Miss Eleanor's first birthday in Austin and then off to New Braunfels to see Grandma and Grandpa.

We are making memories at Gigi and Grandpa's house while our new one is in progress.  Thank you again to Gigi and Grandpa for allowing us to move in temporarily.  Some of the key memories from this summer in our temporary home include sno cones, the boys watching "movies of Jessie," Super Mario World and how Wyatt every day asked Gigi, "Gigi, show choo choo!"  My Dad showed Brock a few videos from when I was a kiddo and Brock couldn't get enough.  Brock called them "movies of Jessie."  Ha!

  

 

 

Lastly, we had Rylan's third birthday party-Super Hero theme!  The kids loved their masks and capes!

 

Lake and Houston

We had a wonderful weekend at Lake Livingston in July.  Brock could not wait to surf with Uncle John again.  Everyone had a great time on Uncle John's boat.  Thank you again to John and CC for hosting!

After the lake weekend, Mom and I took the boys to Houston to visit with family.  We had a few days packed with tons of fun including the Children's Museum, George Ranch and the Railroad Museum.  The boys had so much fun learning and visiting.  Brock often talks about what he learned at George Ranch.  He was fascinated with learning how they lived in the olden days.  Wyatt is an animal lover, so the cows and horses captivated him.  A BIG thank you to the aunts and uncles that hosted us and provided for a wonderful vacation. 

First stop, The Children's Museum of Houston.  What a great museum!  We could have stayed there all day.  It would take several trips to experience all they have to offer!  For some reason, I don't have too many photos from there, probably because we were too busy running to see everything (and some were lost when my phone was wiped...BROCK!)!

Second stop, George Ranch.  This place was incredible.  As I mentioned, Brock still talks about how the guy made fire and his blanket was a bear skin.  We will definitely have to go back and see what he learns/remembers next time.

We had a wonderful dinner with family to celebrate Gigi's birthday.  It is always fun to catch up with family!

Last stop, the Rosenberg Railroad Museum.  Our boys are choo choo crazy, so I knew this would be a hit.  We will have to go back there again for sure!  After the museum, we had a yummy lunch with dessert and hit the road home.

4th of July

We watched fireworks the evening of July 3rd in Roanoke with the Brune family.  The boys had a great time jumping in bounce houses and playing together.  They were all troopers and lasted through the late firework show!  This was Wyatt's first encounter with fireworks and he was not pleased at first yelling, "Mama! Mama! Mama!" and climbed in my lap as fast as he could.  He eventually was used to the loud bangs, but refused to leave my lap and demanded to wear my sunglasses!  HA!  This Summer he was obsessed with sunglasses...you will see him holding them in most of the following posts.

We had fun on the 4th grilling and playing at the park!  Boy, it was a hot one!

And then Mary and baby Eleanor visited us for a couple of days.  We had so much fun!!
