Summer Fun in New Braunfels

We visited Grandma, Grandpa and Rex the latter part of June and had a wonderful time!  We did a lot of swimming, relaxing, visited Natural Bridge Caverns, ate a lot of good food, played with Rex, fed the deer, rode the Landa Park Train, played at the park and took the boys to their first movie in the theater, Finding Dory.  Thank you again to Grandma and Grandpa for hosting us.  It was a great time!

We are making a tradition of stopping at Dairy Queen on our way to New Braunfels.  Yum!

Some photos from our visit to Natural Bridge Caverns.  A great experience.

Playing with Rex...the boys LOVE to play with him!

Landa Park and the Land Park Railroad.  Another annual tradition!

Wyatt!  "Huh?"

"Cheeeesee!"  (fake smile)

"I see the train!"  (real smile!)

Brock climbed the fireman's pole.

Good job Buddy!

Feeding the deer..

Swimming...Wyatt wanted to practice his swimming a lot this trip.  So proud of him!

A boy and his dog (for the week)...
Their first movie in the theater.  Wyatt only had to get up once and maybe had popcorn for dinner.  :)

Father's Day and Farm Update

We celebrated the Dad's in our life on Father's Day.  Our boys sure do have a great Daddy!

Here are some photos from our farm in June.  June 22nd we found our first egg!
The chicken run.

Their coop.

Herding chickens is a lot like herding cats!

Our Rooster

Yep!  I filmed the chickens.

First egg on the left (middle nest box).  All the others are fake eggs.  I am learning so much about chickens!

Bonus Photo!  Ms. Linda has said this pine Brock is standing next to is his tree.  According to her, they are the same age.  Brock has some catching up to do!  Isn't her yard lovely?

2016 Bring Your Child to Work Day

We had a very successful Bring Your Child to Work Day in June.  My office raised money and requested items for Patriot Paws.  We were introduced to the Patriot Paws organization through Brock's school and I thought it would be great to have them in for our annual day.  Patriot Paws brought a service dog in training and talked to the children about the importance of service dogs and how to act around them as well.  I believe this was our best Bring Your Child to Work Day yet!

Summer Fun To Do List

Before summer was in full swing, we sat down and made a summer fun to do list.  We had a great time checking off some of these fun things!

Field Day and Kindergarten Graduation

We watched the kiddos compete and cheer each other on at Field Day and a couple weeks later we attended Kindergarten Graduation.  The school year flew by!  Brock really enjoyed Kindergarten.  He had a wonderful teacher and made some great friends.

Graduation was June 2nd.  We now have a 1st grader!  Brock wanted Olive Garden after graduation to celebrate...surprise, surprise!
