The Halloween That Wasn't

Well, we skipped right over Halloween this year and not by our own choice!  Brock woke up with a stomach bug the night before Halloween and was down for the count until about 9:30pm on Halloween.  The poor guy missed his Fall Festival at school and trick-or-treating with some good friends.  I think I was more bummed than he was!!!!  Oh well.  Brock picked out Wyatt's costume this year and we had Wyatt try it on a few days beforehand...our little dragon.  It was so amusing to watch him toddle around in it!!!

Brock put his costume on in anticipation of going to school, but never made it that far....  He was going to be Jake from the Jake and the Never Land Pirates cartoon.
We have some trick-or-treating to make up for next year!!!

Fair, Fall and...

MAMA!!!  Wait, those don't rhyme!  You're right, but I am excited that Wyatt started saying "Mama" this week.  It was a rough week for the little guy (and Mommy and Daddy!).  He had a reaction to his one year shots with an added bonus of the stomach bug.  Fever and projectile vomit were the theme of our week, but once Wyatt started feeling a little better on Wednesday evening he happily repeated "Mama" over and over.

Last weekend we visited the State Fair of Texas and did a little pumpkin carving.  Brock was amazed at the fair with all of the booths, games and rides.  When lunchtime rolled around, he insisted on having a turkey leg and put a pretty good dent in it.  We were shocked.
The new Big Tex

It was as big as he is!

Next was pumpkin carving...
Brock was anxious to see what was in the pumpkin.

And got messy cleaning it out.

He is proud of his little jack-o-lantern.

Random fun at La Hacienda Ranch.  Brock loves to ride the ponies there and this time baby brother joined in the fun.

Last but not least, big thanks to Gigi and Gpa for watching the boys this weekend so we could celebrate our 6th Anniversary.  I love the life we have built together Hunny!

One Year Check-up

Today we had Wyatt's one year check-up and his stats were:

Height:  30.75 inches- 81st percentile
Weight:  23 pounds, 8 ounces- 81st percentile
Head Circumference:  45.5 cm- 31st percentile
The little guy did not appreciate the shots and was a fussy little guy today because of them.  :(

Happy Birthday Wyatt!!!!

Happy, happy birthday sweet boy!  It is hard to believe that a year has passed since we first met you.  I will never forget that day and the joy in our hearts.  We were so thankful that you were healthy and perfect.  Your brother made us laugh when he wanted you to give him five and he was confused as to why your weren't talking.  You may not be talking yet, but your personality shines bright in everything you do.  You were born strong and fit for the younger brother role.  While you may not be bigger than Brock anytime soon, your strong will and determination make up for it.  Don't ever slow down or stop smiling.  Your laugh is contagious.  We love you bunches and bunches WyWy/Brother/Wyatt Banana!!!

We made a quick stop at Hall's Pumpkin Farm this evening for Wyatt's birthday.

Did someone say party?

We celebrated Wyatt's first birthday at the house last Saturday.  The theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar, so that made what to serve easy...  We had plenty of treats and a bounce house to tire the kiddos out.  Great times with wonderful friends and family that took the time to celebrate with us.  We are so thankful for these people in our lives.  We took several photos and I will let them tell the story...
