Is anyone out there? Just kidding. I know this thing works. It just hasn't had anyone contributing to it in a very long time. So, I owe you! First, can you please help me find my camera?
Dear Camera, I know I have recently cursed you and your picture taking abilities. Please forgive me and come back home! You contain photos that I need....that my blog needs and I promise to keep my rude comments to myself the next time you make me miss that "perfect photo." Sincerely, Your Owner
Now that my plea is out of the way....let's see what kind of topics do I owe you since I have been absent...
March is Birthday Month
2 Year Check-up

"I'm so smart!"
Okay, well now that I have teased you....I must get to bed and dream of Tahiti.
One day Buck and I will make it there. One Fine Day....

Time is Flying by...
People, I can't believe it is almost March. Time is flying by! Speaking of flying, currently one of Brock's favorite things is to put on his cape (a blankie) and fly through the air. We can only do this a few minutes at a time because our little boy is solid! It tires Mommy and Daddy out! I hope the video below works. Enjoy :)
Let's see what else....The other day Buck came home asking, "Did you know Brock can spell his name?" I smiled and asked who he thought taught him! I decorated letters that spell BROCK over our little guy's bed, so they are conveniently there to go over once in a while. I guess the random lessons were sinking in after all.
He is having a good time at gymnastics now. I was able to watch him during class a couple of weeks ago and he was having a great time on the gigantic trampoline. The boy loves to jump jump jump.
Lastly, any time we sit down at the dinner table, Brock insists we hold hands and pray and he proudly says "A-MEN!" at the end. It is especially cute when he tries to say the prayer with us. Now bedtime prayer is a whole different story, he does not look forward to that!
Disclaimer: This post does not contain other happenings in the real world such as...Brock licking the seat bench at Taco Bueno last Friday. Seriously?!? What made you want to do that? Or him pee-ing all over me on Monday. Please don't let all of my braggings "my kid can spell his name and say prayers" fool you....he is still ALL BOY!

E I E I NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have not blogged in a while. Forgive me, we were recovering from Christmas fun, getting the house in order, working on the yard, visiting with family, etc. Oh and trying to figure out the lovely "terrible-twos" as it is most commonly referred to. Brock has recently figured out or rather believes that he has a say, opinion, a choice in the matter. One morning a couple of weeks ago he had the ultimate meltdown over putting on a jacket. We tried our normal distract and redirect. He loves to sing and dance and his favorite song right now is Old MacDonald Had a Farm (and Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus...). So when the meltdown was in full force, we started with good 'ole e-i-e-i-o and got a lovely e-i-e-i-NOOOOOOOOO! Buck and I couldn't help but laugh. Anyways, besides the occasional meltdown, our little boy is growing up! His vocabulary has really taken off. A few of his favorite word combinations: "I love you." "I had a good day." "Dada, Where are you?" "Mama, Sit here." "One more book?" He will even engage in a good knock-knock joke and laughs hysterically at the end. So cute. I must add he gives the best sugar-big hugs and tops it off with a kiss. He is doing better at his colors as well. Just for you....a few random photos....it is never a dull moment in our home! (Disclaimer: Most of these were taken with my iPhone. Don't judge the quality! I need a new camera!)

| Thank you for the train table Kacy! We have some awesome hand-me-downs! |
| We made a trip to New Braunfels to see Grandma and Grandpa's new beautiful home. Grandpa and Brock got a tour of the Salt Lick's massive grill. Yum! |

Christmas Break Fun
We had a great time on Christmas break. We were lazy for a couple of days and then put a few outings on our agenda. We saw the trains at North Park and took advantage of the beautiful weather with a visit to the Dallas Zoo. Good times!
I had not been to the Dallas Zoo in years and I must say I was impressed.

Quote Monday
I think I am going to start quote Monday. I don't know about you, but I definitely need a pick-me-up on Mondays! In college I worked for a company part-time and every day I would walk by the mail room and the same guy would ask me how I was doing. A few times I had replied, "I wish it was Friday...." and one day he said back to me, "You better stop wishing your life away." That has stuck with me....
Now let's see if your funny bone is working...
This one made me laugh out loud!
